Als jeugdvrienden André, Bart en David, allen diep in de 50, gaan klussen in een oude opgekochte hoeve van vriend Joost in België, blijken ze niet langer onsterfelijk. Ze wisselen nog steeds moeiteloos loodzware ernst af met slap ouwehoeren, maar daarmee ontkomen ze niet aan het feit dat ze ouder worden. Loyaliteit, noodlot en humor zijn hun reddingsboei om de volgende fase in hun leven onder ogen te zien.
As childhood friends André, Bart, and David—all well into their fifties—set out to do some renovation work on an old, recently purchased farmhouse belonging to their friend Joost in Belgium, they discover that they are no longer immortal. They still effortlessly alternate bone-heavy seriousness with silly banter, but that doesn’t spare them from the reality of aging. Loyalty, fate, and humor become their lifeline as they face the next phase of their lives.
